Click on this button again to view the panels.

Alternatively, you can right-click on any one of the panels and select “Close Panel

Group” to close the panel completely. To re-open a panel that you have closed, you

can go to the menu bar and select the panels you want from “Window.” Also, you

can select “Hide Panels” from the “Window” menu (shortcut “F4”) if you wish to close

all of the panels quickly.

It is recommended that you set up your Dreamweaver MX 2004 workspace to fit

your preferences as soon as you open up the program.

The Insert Bar

The Insert bar, located across the top of the screen, is different from the above-

mentioned panels. The Insert bar contains far more tabs than other panels, and has

several options for adding and manipulating objects and functions into a web page.

You may find along the way that you want to familiarize yourself with these options,

as they allow for a quick and easy way to insert objects into a page.

The Common tab features some of the most-used functions in Dreamweaver

MX 2004.
