If you do not see this listed in the “Start” menu, look for an icon for Dreamweaver

MX 2004 on your Desktop.

When you first open the program, Dreamweaver will prompt you with its own

starting window; from here, you can select the type of document you would like to

create. Unfortunately, there is no way to simply close this window; in order to get

rid of it you must select some type of document. Pick “Create New” >> “HTML” to

open a blank web page and close the window (you can also click “Don’t show again”

if you do not want this starting page to show, again).
