Navigation Bar

Components User's Guide

Click the

Insert Navigation Bar

button . The Insert Navigation Bar dialog box

appears.

Choose whether the

Button Type

will be

Text

Image.

Choose whether the buttons will

Display

vertically or horizontally.

If you are creating image type buttons, enter or browse to select the

Active Button

and

Inactive Button

images.

Choose whether the

Navigation

will be based on the

Site Structure

, or

Deploy

Folders.

If the navigation will be based on deploy folders, specify a

Root

deploy folder. Any

links which are defined as relative to the root will be based on this setting.

If you want to limit the generation of navigation links to assets for which a specific

Yes/No (boolean) metadata field is defined, enter the name of the metadata field in

the

Select

field.

If you chose to based the navigation bar on a site structure, enter the location of and

name of the specific site structure file in the

Site Structure

field.

Choose the buttons which you want to include from the

Buttons Include

list. See

"Node Options for Links" on page 89 for details.

To insert a Navigation Bar component:

Enter the following opening tag where you want the navigation bar to appear:

Complete the properties as follows:

For the

code

property, the path to the archive where the component class file is

stored. By default, this is stored in:

root

/System/Components/
